M&P Manufacturing USA is proud to offer a range of metal extrusion and plastic extrusion services, serving the needs of various industries and applications. Many of our extrusions are nested, mated, or sliding-fit sets that require careful attention to tolerances and finish quality; our expert team has years of experience handling complex jobs and can easily meet even the most unusual extrusion needs.
We can handle all types of project requirements — including thin wall, complex shape, heat sink, small cross-section, co-extrusion, ram extrusion, reverse extrusion, tri-extrusion, and ultra-precision solutions — and complement these offerings with secondary operations such as punching.
M&P has both domestic and offshore factories that can fulfill short-, medium-, and large-run projects, and we serve nearly two dozen different industries, including agriculture, automotive, firearms, hydraulics, medical, plumbing, robotics, and telecommunications.
Extrusion Types and Capabilities
The metals used in the extrusion process include aluminum (2xxx series and 7xxx series), brass, bronze, copper, hard-alloy aluminum, stainless steel, and steel. Commonly used plastics include acrylic plastic, butyl, foam, polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, polypropylene, high-density polypropylene, neoprene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), rubber, urethanes, and vinyl.
M&P can create a huge range of extrusion products, such as aircraft interior parts, angles, channels, component parts, connectors, display components, door gaskets, door seals, edgings, faceplates, finned tubes, flanges, furniture parts, gaskets, hinges, housings, lighting solutions, moldings, seals, signs, spliced gaskets, toy parts, tubes, and tubing. Product forms include heat sinks, profiles, rods, and shapes. A range of features can be added to meet specific application needs; for instance, parts may be made to be curved, flame-retardant, flexible, food-grade, frosted, high-temperature, thin-gage, or T-slotted.
Finishing services include painting (powder and liquid), plating, chemical film application, anodizing, and marking (silk screen and pad print). We can handle various production volumes, whether clients require prototypes, low- or high-volume orders, or blanket orders. Lead times are quoted on a job-to-job basis, but rush orders can be completed as needed.
Our production facility holds ISO 9001:2008/TS 16949 certification and adheres to a number of industry standards, including those set forth by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Welding Society (AWS), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to name just a few. Our tolerances easily meet — and often exceed — strict industry standards. With cutting-edge factories scattered across the United States and abroad, clients can rest assured they’ll receive timely deliveries every time, for every project.
Unmatched product quality is the foundation of our business, which is why we see projects through from start to finish, from raw material validation to final pre-ship inspection of finished goods. In fact, we make use of nine different inspection processes and tools: coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), inspection gages, inline inspection (ILI), on-stream inspection (OSI), parts sorting, penetrant inspection, video inspection, visual inspection, and third-party inspection. We also invest heavily in comprehensive training programs and the most cutting-edge equipment to ensure exemplary performance in everything we do.
